How to Care For Your Makeup Brushes

Regular usage of the makeup brushes can allow bacteria and dust accumulate in these brushes. The accumulation of bacteria can make these brushes harmful to your skin thereby causing skin diseases or  breakout of acne. There some easy steps on how to clean your makeup brushes at home to ensure an healthy makeup habit.

1. First, rinse your makeup brushes in warm water. It is important to make sure that the water is warm and not too hot. This is because most makeup brushes use a glue to make the bristles stick together, using hot water may cause the glue to melt, thus ruining the brush.

2. Apply some mild soap or baby shampoo on your hand and softly swirl the brush on top. Do not apply too much pressure as this can distort the shape of the brush. Ensure the brittles are properly cleaned up.

3. Rinse the brushes in warm water again to clean off the soap or whichever cleaning material you used. Make sure that all the soap or cleaning material is off the brush. Once again be careful to not use too much pressure.

4. The final step is to gently dry the brush on a towel. Do not try to dry it using the towel but just rub the brush on the towel very gently. Then  leave the brush to dry in the air.

While it is important to keep your makeup brushes clean, you should also take care of any other makeup tools that come in direct contact with your skin every day. This will help prevent the breakout of acne, keeping your skin healthy.
